I remember being taught that as Christians we should have soft hearts, thick skins, sharp minds, gentle tongues. This came up in our Bible study during the week when we came across these verses:

⁵Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. ⁶Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone. Colossians 4:5-6
