Outline

Phil and Claire Foster are a married couple just going through the motions. They still have a date night, where the kids are minded by a friend and the two of them spend quality time together. One day Phil is jolted by the news that good friends are splitting up, and he is scared that his own marriage is in a rut too. So when date night comes around he takes his wife to one of the trendiest new restaurants in town. When he can’t get a table, he takes the reservation of another couple that didn’t up. Pretending to be this other couple though gets them more than a table. Soon they are running for their lives, mixing with mobsters, involved in car chases and meeting some characters that are certainly not a part of their normal lives.

Pros & Cons
Date Night is a fun movie. It is easy to identify with the two main characters and their situation, yet the night they have is very ... different. It made me laugh out loud. It made me wonder “What if...?”
Recommendation

This movie is not too taxing on the brain (although I still had ask my wife "Who's that?" and "Why did he do that?"), and is - simply fun and entertaining.
