St Mary's Roof Project
Eastern Slopes are complete!

Proudly funded by the NSW Government through a State Heritage Grants of $100,000, in association with many generous donors, the worst leaks and degradation of the timber shingle roof have been repaired over the Chancel and Vestries at the Eastern end of the church building.

Hector Abrahams Architects, and specialist roofer Combined Roofing have achieved a stunning and effective outcome.

What next?
What about the rest of the roof?

As can be seen by the photos, the rest of the roof is also in need of repair. Gutters are coming loose, rainheads have rusted through, timber shingles are leaking and staining the inside of the ceiling, moss and rot are setting in.

Our heritage architects have considered all the details in this restoration project, not just the slate for the roof, but also internal structural rods to ensure the roof can take the weight of the slate, and stormwater drainage around the site.

We'd love your financial help as we seek to keep fundraising for the rest of the roof to complete the restoration! We still need about $500 000.
We have set up a Roof Fund where donations are tax deductible. and we can send you a receipt so you can claim it when filling in your tax return with ATO. Please consider donating.
